Service

Medical Aid

Service 1 of 12

Hospital, day-to-day, and family cover from the country's leading schemes.

Private healthcare matters because hospital and specialist costs in South Africa rise faster than inflation every year. We compare benefits, hospital networks, chronic medication coverage and family rates across Discovery, Momentum, Medihelp, BestMed and Sirago — then pair you with the scheme and option that actually fits your life and budget.

Common questions

How do I know if my current scheme is still the right one?

We do a free options-audit — comparing what you pay against what you actually use, and what equivalent benefits would cost on other schemes.

Can I move mid-year?

Most schemes allow option changes at year-end; some allow upgrades any time. We handle the paperwork and the waiting-period waiver requests where applicable.

Is gap cover separate?

Yes — gap cover is a top-up product. See our Gap Cover service.

Service

Gap Cover

Service 2 of 12

Bridges the gap between what your scheme pays and what specialists actually charge — up to 700%.

When a specialist charges 400% of medical-aid rates and your scheme pays 200%, you owe the difference. Gap cover pays it for you. We match you to a gap product that covers co-payments, casualty visits and specialist shortfalls — typically for less than R250/month.

Common questions

Is there a waiting period?

Most gap policies have a 3-month general waiting period and a 12-month condition-specific waiting period. Continuous-cover transfers may waive these.

What's the maximum benefit?

Regulated cap is around R200,000 per person per year. We'll show you the exact limit on each option.

Service

Life Insurance

Service 3 of 12

A lump-sum payout when you pass away — to clear debt and protect the people who depend on you.

The right cover number is rarely the round one. We work out exactly what your family would need to settle bonds, replace your income, fund education and keep their lifestyle — then we structure cover from a single insurer or a blend so you're never over- or under-insured.

Common questions

How much cover do I actually need?

Take our 8-question health check or book a 30-minute review — we'll model it based on your real numbers.

What about whole-of-life vs term?

We offer both. Most clients use term to age 65 paired with whole-of-life for estate planning.

Service

Dread Disease Cover

Service 4 of 12

A lump sum when you're diagnosed with cancer, heart attack, stroke or another listed critical illness.

Also called critical-illness or trauma cover. The payout is yours to use — pay specialists, replace lost income, take time off work, or settle debt. Some products pay graded amounts so a partial diagnosis still triggers partial payout.

Common questions

Doesn't medical aid cover this?

Medical aid pays providers. Dread cover pays you — for the costs hospitals don't bill, the work you can't do, and the time you need.

Service

Disability Cover

Service 5 of 12

Replaces your income if illness or injury stops you from working — temporarily or permanently.

Two layers: temporary disability income (typically 75% of salary, paid monthly) and permanent disability lump sum (often pegged to life cover). Statistics show working-age adults are far more likely to be disabled than to die before retirement — yet most are over-insured for the latter and under-insured for the former.

Common questions

Does this cover own-occupation or any-occupation?

We default to own-occupation for professionals. We'll explain the trade-off in plain English.

Service

Investments

Service 6 of 12

Discretionary portfolios across local and offshore — managed to your goal, not the market mood.

We start with what the money is for: education, a deposit, retirement, legacy. Then we build a portfolio across unit trusts, ETFs, endowments and offshore wrappers that matches the time horizon and tax profile. Reviewed quarterly; rebalanced when it matters.

Common questions

What's the minimum to invest?

Most clients start at R50,000 lump sum or R1,000/month debit order — but we'll start smaller for younger clients.

Service

Retirement Planning

Service 7 of 12

Pre- and post-retirement planning — so you know the number you're working toward and the income you'll draw.

Pre-retirement: how much, in what vehicles (RA, pension, provident, TFSA), with what tax efficiency, to hit a target income at your chosen age. Post-retirement: structuring living and life annuities so the income lasts and the tax bill stays sane.

Common questions

Can I consolidate old preservation funds?

Usually yes — and the lower fees alone often add years to your projected runway.

Service

Estate Planning

Service 8 of 12

Structuring your estate so your assets transfer to the right people, with the lowest possible tax and friction.

We work with attorneys to map your estate — fixed assets, investments, life cover, business interests — then structure trusts, beneficiary nominations and offshore holdings to minimise estate duty and executor fees. Reviewed every 3-5 years and after major life events.

Common questions

Do I need a trust?

Not always. We'll tell you straight whether one adds value for you.

Service

Will & Testament

Service 9 of 12

A current, valid will — the first step in every financial plan and the easiest one to skip.

We draft, store and maintain your will alongside the rest of your plan. Update it after marriage, divorce, a new child, a property purchase or a business change. Without a current will, the Master of the High Court decides — and that rarely matches your intention.

Common questions

How often should I update it?

Whenever your assets, family or business changes — minimum every 3 years.

Service

Short-Term Insurance

Service 10 of 12

Personal and commercial cover for vehicles, homes, contents and the unexpected.

Buildings, contents, cars, all-risks (laptops, phones, jewellery), trailers, business assets, professional indemnity, public liability. We compare across the major insurers each year and rebroke when premiums creep.

Common questions

Will you actually rebroke me, or just renew?

We rebroke at every annual renewal — that's when most premium increases happen.

Service

Employee Benefits

Service 11 of 12

Group medical, retirement, risk and wellness products for businesses of every size.

Group medical schemes, group risk (life, disability, dread), umbrella retirement funds, employee assistance programmes. Implemented and serviced so HR doesn't carry the load.

Common questions

What's the smallest group you'll take on?

Three lives. We've onboarded teams from 3 to 300.

Service

Financial Planning

Service 12 of 12

The one document that ties everything else together — and the conversation that re-opens it every year.

A written, costed plan covering protection, investing, retirement, tax, estate and contingency — reviewed annually. Most of our clients didn't realise they needed one until they had it. Then they wonder how they ever made decisions without it.

Common questions

What does it cost?

The first conversation and the plan itself are free. We earn from the products we implement on your behalf, and we're up-front about every cent.
